Art Space News:
Art Space is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10AM-3PM. Wednesdays we will be open from 10AM-6PM.
This Friday, July 31st, we will be open from 10AM-6PM.
Please wait until 10AM to come in.We will be closed Thursday, August 6th and August10-14th. Thank you for your understanding.
The next online meeting will be on 7/30. from 1-1:45PM. After that, the next meeting will be 8/27. We have now moved our meetings to Thursdays. The link will be sent out the day before, with a reminder the day of. If you’ve been missed from the meetings email list, please let me know! I’ll be happy to add you.
We have a Food Pantry and Pet Pantry available at Art Space! Take what you need, leave what you can.
Upcoming at Art Space
Art Space Artist Megan Beatty will be holding her exhibit opening on 10/3 starting at 5PM! Please save the date and be sure to join us in celebrating this incredible artist!
Stay Tuned for more workshops where we will make paper mâché orbs, clay creatures, paintings, and more. Dates of group art making will be shared soon. All free supplies will be provided. You can participate in collaborative works of art or make your own art for the art show!

Art Space Call for Art!
We’re excited to let you know that we’re now accepting applications for the upcoming art exhibit, Doors of Perception, presented by Megan Beatty.
This is your chance to create art that glows under black light. We’re asking you to show your dreams or ideas about alternate realities. There’s no wrong way to interpret this theme!
Black light reflective art means using materials that are fluorescent, neon, or very bright. You can use:
Paint
Yarn
Oil pastels
Crayons
Air dry clay
Colored pencils
Pipe cleaners
Beads
Puffy paint
Paper
Watercolors
Any neon material will shine brightly under black light. Neon highlighters (especially yellow) and many fluorescent oil pastels and markers react well to UV light.
If you need help choosing supplies, feel free to talk to any Art Space staff member. We have black light reflective acrylic paints, plus neon paints, pencils, and papers at Art Space.
Please reach out with any questions about your artwork or the application. You can submit a new piece or one you’ve already made that fits the theme.

Introducing a project by one of our talented Art Space members, Josh. Josh goes by Ze/Zer pronouns. Ze makes art for fun and therapeutic reasons. Ze creates acrylic paintings and also does stickers. Josh’s new venture is a monthly sticker club! There’s a $1 and a $3 tier. Included in the membership is a curated newsletter made by Josh. Check it out!
