Art Space News:
Art Space is open Monday through Friday from 10AM-3PM, and Wednesdays from 10AM-6PM. Please wait until 10AM to come in.
We will be closed Thursday, 7/23. Thank you for understanding.
The next online meeting will be on 7/16. from 1-1:45PM. After that, the next meeting will be 7/30. We have now moved our meetings to Thursdays. The link will be sent out the day before, with a reminder the day of. If you’ve been missed from the meetings email list, please let me know! I’ll be happy to add you.
We have a Food Pantry and Pet Pantry available at Art Space! Take what you need, leave what you can.
Upcoming Events
Art Space Artist Megan Beatty will be holding her exhibit opening on 10/3 starting at 5PM! Please save the date and be sure to join us in celebrating this incredible artist!
Stay Tuned for more workshops where we will make paper mâché orbs, clay creatures, paintings, and more. Dates of group art making will be shared soon. All free supplies will be provided. You can participate in collaborative works of art or make your own art for the art show!

Art Space Call for Art!
All Art Space Artists are invited to submit artwork that will be featured in Megan Beatty’s upcoming art show and installation. This call for art is for an immersive entrance to our imaginative perceptions of portals, entryways, doors, and objects within a light reactive experience.
The selection of artwork will be based on pieces that glow or is reactive to light. Creations of dream worlds, celestial portals, 2D and 3D pieces that will transform 1221 Art Space into another dimension of our creative space.
Application Deadline: August 28th
Artists notification for acceptance: September 4th
Artwork drop off deadline: September 18th

Check out Fresh A.I.R. Gallery’s newest Woodcutting workshop with Artist Nick Waspes!
On Saturday, July 18 from 11 AM–1 PM, a hands-on workshop with woodcut artist Nick Waspes will be held at Fresh A.I.R. Gallery. Participants will get an introduction to printmaking techniques and have the chance to create their own work in a supportive, creative environment.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, come learn, experiment, and connect with others in our community.
